Which side of the J-DRain faces the wall?
With single sided composites such as J-DRain 200,400 and 700, the flat side
is placed against the wall and the fabric side faces the soil backfill.
With J-DRain SWD, a multi-sided drainage composite, either side can face
the wall and/or soil.

Is J-DRain approved by local or national building
codes?
Yes. Refer to ES Legacy Report NER-636.

What type of adhesive should be used during installation?
Is it ok to nail the product to the wall?
The adhesive needs to be compatible with the waterproofing membrane. Liquid
Nails is a common one. The only time it is acceptable to nail through J-DRain
into the waterproofing membrane is if the w/p membrane you are using is
bentonite, which swells when wet.

When would you choose a geonet over a dimple board drainage product?
When a high compressive strength is required such as applications with vehicular
traffic and other horizontal applications.

Is J-DRain a waterproofing product?
While J-DRain greatly assists in the water management process, it is not
considered a stand alone waterproofing product.

Can J-DRain be stored outside?
J-DRain is provided in a plastic cover which provides protection against
elements and ultra Voilet damage from the sunlight. Unwrapped J-DRain should
not be stored outside for extended periods of time as it is subject to ultra
violet degradation.

What temperatures can J-DRain withstand? Can you
pour asphalt onto it?
The melting point of the fabric is approximately 300 degrees. The asphalt
would need to be cooler than 300. If not, place a thin sand layer down.

Can you pour concrete against J-DRain?
Yes, the filter fabric will retain the fines and aggregates present in concrete.
