J-DRain GRS (Green Roof System) is a pre-assembled drainage composite consisting of a high strength dimpled core and two layers of geosynthetic fabric attached top and bottom. The dimpled core has water retention chambers for storing water while allowing excess water to pass through (perforations) into the roof’s collection system.
A function of the J-DRain GRS drain layer is the application of a root resistant filter fabric. It is placed directly atop the drain layer for maximum, long-term success of the drainage layer. The root resistant filter fabric allows water to drain while preventing roots from affecting the efficiency of the drainage/aeration layer. It also acts as a filter fabric, preventing fine particles from being washed out of the substrate soil.
The bottom filter fabric acts as a protection layer to the roofing membrane, adds stability to the drain layer and filters fine particles ensuring maximum drainage efficiency.
J-DRain GRS is four-feet wide and comes in fifty-foot rolls for easy installation.

J-DRain Series 300 (Geonet) is recommended for vehicular traffic areas or under pavers/stepping-stones. The geonet drainage core is literally crush proof, yet flexible enough to conform to irregular surfaces
J-DRain Series 400 performs a multi-faceted role by providing protection for waterproofing systems and managing sub-surface water especially for sloped roofs, where water retention may not be necessary.
